Treasure Hunters

 Taos, New Mexico
April 19-23 2018

A creative adventure drowning in culture, creativity, food, music, friendship, nature and unlocking our hidden treasures.

This retreat is a special one held in Taos, New Mexico. A location that has long been known as a mecca for inspiration, creativity, healing energies and soul connection.

The theme to this Untethered Retreat is: Treasure Hunters

We all have extraordinary treasures hidden within us. It’s our job to uncover them, to excavate and go on a virtual treasure hunt within. This retreat will have many gems to add to our treasure box, including wonderful messages with artisan handmade gifts giving meaning, lessons, and inspiration that touch all of the senses. We will unlock, not only some of the treasures hidden within us, but also open our eyes to see the treasures around.

You can only find the treasures if you’re willing to take the journey.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS RETREAT

To step out of your comfort zone and try new things.
To renew, reboot and recharge, through art and nature.
To recapture your spark and mojo.

To refill your vessel.

Some of the Highlights?

These are a few of the highlights that you will be experiencing on this amazing retreat.

*We will be staying at a historic adobe hacienda built in 1832.  Ansel Adams and Georgia O’keefe also stayed here. I’ve rented out every unique room (8 in total), so it will just be our group, no outsiders. All rooms will have two people, so on this retreat you bring a friend, sister or mother.

*Deliciously prepared meals will be provided. 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 2 dinners, including a wine and cheese reception. Coffee & tea always available.

* A beautiful  personal Untethered Retreat Packet with all the fine tuned details and itinerary  to come.

*Morning powwow inspirations with handmade treasures and gifts.

*Custom made Untethered Art Retreat shirts.

*Going to a potters shop and experiencing throwing on a wheel using red clay that has been harvested from the sacred mountains, we will be dipping, glazing and firing a pot using the ancient Raku method. A piece to take back home.

*Doing a hike to a mineral hot springs and enjoy it’s healing powers.

*Experience a sipping tour of the local award-winning winery.

*Have our own private tour guide, Kel, a gentle soul from the Taos Pueblo and San Carlos Apache Tribe, showing us some special highlights and sharing stories of the history and culture, including visiting the Rio Grand Gorge with a depth of 800 feet.

*Visit the sacred 1000 year old Taos Pueblo which is still inhabited and follows the life and culture of their ancestors, learning about the history, culture, and art.

*At our hacienda, we will make our own Dream Catchers, made from locally harvested willow, sinew, turquoise, leather, beads and feathers, while sipping local chili chocolate and enjoying each others company. Teacher Kel,  will tell stories of his tribal ancestors as we create by the fireside.

*One evening, a local chef will come to our hacienda kitchen and teach us the secrets of cooking a delicious southwest meal.

*On our last evening we will have a private performance at our hacienda from a tribal dance group in full regalia, with tribal singing, dancing and stories to end our retreat.

*There will be some open time scheduled in for you to explore/shop on your own.

There’s no light pollution where we will be and the night sky is spectacular just glowing with stars. This was a highlight of my visit, especially enjoyable while sitting in a hot tub with the cool mountain air… the weather will be anywhere from 40-60 degrees at the time we will be there.

These are just some of the highlights. There will be so many more special touches and experiences awaiting you, you just need an open mind and a sense of adventure!

The final itinerary and details will be released later to those who are attending.
